At this point all of us have sadly realized that we are money hungry Gambling Spreadsheeters (sorry mom). With the unfortunate end of the NFL Football season, so goes pick um’s, fantasy leagues (you’ll get’em next year New Direction), suicide pools and Super Bowl boxes. We are now left with a gaping void in our otherwise full lives, grasping at straws trying to find a suitable contest that will quench our thirst for easy money… Therefore, back by popular demand is the Excel Rain Man OSCulator (OSCAR + Calculator = OSCulator for all you Excel Rain Virgins out there)! Maybe this year’s football pools weren’t very kind (Pipala), but as the NFL says, “Tomorrow we are all undefeated again!” So throw caution to the wind my friend… All you need is that one big score to get back on top (and make rent).
The OSCulator is a spread-savvy addition to any OSCAR party. Whether you are hosting one yourself, or need to bring something to the table at a friend’s to ensure a decent spot in front of the TV, away from Hannah the boozed up cougar and Rob the aging hipster, desperately in need of more Right Guard. P.S. the OSCulator is free! So don’t make anything, be lazy, take a nap and still be the hero of the party at no cost to you! After all, food and wine are so 2009 (not really… food and wine are the best).

1. OSCulator
To use the free Excel Rain Man 2010 OSCulator:
Go to the Tips & Tricks section of www.ExcelRainMan.com and download the file called 2010 OSCulator.
A pop-up window will appear asking you to Open or Save this file. We recommend saving the file in a memorable directory on your PC (Desktop or My Documents).
Now find the 2010 Osculator.zip file that you saved, right click on it and select “Extract All…”. Once this is complete (note the Wizard is happy to walk you through this), we suggest opening the 2010 OSCulator Guide to walk you through your brand new 2010 OSCulator.
Send the 2010 OSCAR Ballots to your competitive crew. Ask all participants to enter their Name where indicated on the form and make a selection for each Award Category using the available drop-down menus.
Your crew sends back their completed Ballots.
You (aka the Pool Manager) will keep track of their selections via the 2010 OSCulator. Let our OSCulator do the work of tallying up the results on OSCAR night so you can get back to avoiding Hannah and Rob.
Please note that both our PC and Mac friends can participate in the OSCAR Pool by filling out the ballots, but the 2010 OSCulator has to be run by a PC.
