1. The Excel Rain Man Chore Chart

Household chores are an important way to teach responsibility as well as respect for their belongings, and those of others. In addition, chores are a good lesson in work ethics and give children a sense of pride in a job well done (according to a website that I just copied the above from).

The chart does come pre-populated with some age-appropriate chore recommendations… But these can be tweaked to suit your needs (i.e. “Billy, did you change the oil in the Trans Am yet?? Just make your chore schedule selections, print out your chart and hang it in a central location! We recommend “blinging out” your chart with stickers to reward your child for a job well done (allow your child to put their own stickers on so they feel the sense of accomplishment)!
