Spreadsheeting March Madness Linsanity

Before Linsanity took the nation by storm with his deceptive quickness and less than desirable turnover ratio, he was a little known point guard from a small school in Cambridge, MA, which had sent more men to the Whitehouse than the NBA. Indeed this year, Jeremy Lin’s Harvard (pronounced Har-Vard) will be making its first NCAA appearance since 1946, joining the field of 68 in the hopes of being 2012’s Lincredible Cinderella story. How far will they make it? Do they have the Lintestinal fortitude to withstand perennial favorites such as Syracuse, Kentucky and UNC?

Probably not… BUT… maybe. Stranger things have happened. In 2011 Shaka Smart lead a scrappy Virginia Commonwealth University past the likes of Georgetown, Purdue, Florida State and No. 1 seed Kansas on their way to a very unlikely Final Four Appearance. In 2010, my sister-in-law, who knows more about basket weaving than basketball, won her March Madness Pool by picking her Alma Mater, George Mason, to make it to the Final Four. Indeed March is all about the possibility of underdogs beating the odds and just winning.

Well… It is in honor of Cinderella stories like George Mason, Morehead State, VCU and yes, Cada Paulson, as well as future 2012 sensations like Harvard and Creighton, that we are proud to present the FREE Excel Rain Man 2012 NCAA Bracket Manager!! Just another Marcro-Hypnotic solution from Allyssa Tzavlakis!!
